A bag for mini Mona

Little Eva has a favourite doll that travels everywhere, unfortunately for mum, it is large. I managed to find a smaller, handbag sized version but then thought that every girl needs a handbag of her own. I know she was only 2 but have to start somewhere. So, I bought the mini Mona and designed a handbag for her to travel in. I drew a pattern or design ahead of time, but most of it I made up as I went along. I made it from worsted wool in a soft rose colour and top stitched with a darker shade of embroidery thread and cute buttons.

Although it says on the plan to line with gingham, I didn't as it was perfectly alright without and it would have made it too bulky. So quick and simple to make.

Hoping for mummy's sake that this doesn't start a handbag obsession in later life, we all know where that will lead.
